Face Shields

Please make sure you are wearing face shields and safety glasses to protect yourself from hazards. The following situations require both face shields and safety glasses to be worn.

Using abrasive wheels on grinding and cutting equipment because the wheels can shatter and strike you in the face.

Anytime we are using a chop saw, a faceshield is required to be worn in addition to safety glasses.

Sparks and molten metals produced when torch cutting or cutting metal with a chop saw or grinder.

Any other time you need to protect your face from objects or particles. For example, if we are using a chipping hammer and pieces of tile are flying up, we would want to be wearing a face shield and safety glasses.

Foreman, Please remember to have face shields on the job and readily accessible for workers to grab. The cabinet in the demo cage is stocked with them. Also, remember to have the disinfectant readily accessible on the job site so workers can disinfect the face sheild before putting on.
