Please make sure we are inflating steer tires to 105 PSI and drives and pushers to 100 PSI max. Do not over inflate tires and double check that your tire gauge is working properly by checking your tires with another gauge periodically. Tire gauges can go bad and give false readings. Speeding
We have had a couple instances where we have been pulled over for going 5 to 10 MPH over the speed limit. The officers said it is their job to pull the big trucks over and they will pick us out of a crowd if we are speeding. It doesn't matter if we are going with traffic. Overhead Powerlines
On January 18, 2008, a 45-year-old male truck driver for a roll-off container company was electrocuted when the tilt frame he had raised to load a full 40-cubic-yard roll-off container contacted energized 7,600-volt overhead power lines. He had deposited the empty 8-foot-high x 8-foot-wide x 22-foot-long roll-off container at the customer’s property several days earlier. The decedent was dispatched to remove the full container from the property. He stood on the frozen ground holding the trailer’s tilt frame lift controls in position to raise the tilt frame to load the full container onto the trailer. The controls were located near the front of the driver’s side of the trailer. The tilt frame can extend to a height of approximately 31 feet above the ground. Pre and Post Trips
Please make sure we are doing pre and post trips on all work vehicles and trailers daily. Fill out the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report every day and turn in weekly. At the end of the day, do not just park the truck without doing a post trip.  Some things to pay close attention are making sure tires at atleast 2/32 tread on both truck and trailers drive tires and atleast 4/32 for steer tires. Make sure tires are inflated to proper PSI. Check all lights. Check fluids. Check leaf springs.  Check for air leaks.  Check Fire extinguisher to make sure it is properly secured and charged. Make sure all tools, equipment, and gas cans are properly secured.... » Read more

Safe Speed in Yard
Please keep your speed under 10 MPH while driving through the yard whether its in a work truck or personal vehicle. Also, be extra mindful when coming out of the parking lot  and turning the corner by the scale with with your personal vehicle or work vehicle. ... » Read more
